Description: We are grateful for this scanned newspaper cutting from the Daily Mail of 4 June 1951.  Jesus was not named in the programme, hence the headline.  Jesus was played by professional actor Joseph O'Conor.  The programme also asked the audience not to applause because of the solemn nature of the Plays.
