Description:
Video of the first Theatre Royal production of Mystery Plays, in 1992. Two parts. 2 x VHS loaned from York resident and actor Chris Cade, who played the Apostle Peter.
This was a modern production, and (of course) indoors for the first time. There was much criticism on these grounds. The script was also criticised for leading to a very long evening. Below is a press image from the production.
