Description: Programmes from 1969 Mystery Plays production, of which the archive holds three. Below is the front cover. Previous programme covers since 1951 had all been identical, a reproduction of the manuscript of the Saddlers Play from the British library. They had all said photographs were not allowed and the audience was not expected to applaus, in view of the character of the plays. So 1969 was a "sea-change" of style.
