Description: A two page article from the Times Literary Supplement of 28 June 1996.  Written by Elizabeth Archibald, who teaches English at the University of Victoria, British Columbia.  It covers the script by Liz Lochhead of the 1996 York Cycle of Mystery Plays.  It includes a black and white photograph of Ruth Ford as God and Sarah Harvey as the Angel Gabriel.  God is in a gold costume, seated in a chair suspended from the sky, with a large lit halo. This casting of a woman as God was controversial at the time.
